MGK132 Taper Gauges are designed to probe tapered bearing seats in production facilities, which is important to ensure compatibility between the fit surfaces of the bearing and bearing seat. With a reproducibility factor of less than 1μm, external tapers are measured with a taper angle of 0° to 6° and a taper diameter of 90mm to 360mm.
The gauge is positioned on a taper through a stop on either the front or the back, and it rests on the workpiece through four robust, ground and lapped ledges at an angle of 90°. Between the four ledges, a measurement slide runs and a dial gauge works against the slide while displaying the deviation of the taper diameter.
